For a lot of Mustang fans, the closest they get to the racetrack is video games. That can be for many reasons, fear of crashing their car or the expensive of taking up road racing as a hobby. If you are a big fan of racing video games, a new one is heading to the Xbox 360 this year. The game is Forza 4, the latest in the franchise that has been around for years.
I have played Forza 3, and it’s a lot of fun. I prefer Gran Turismo personally if for no other reason that I have a fantastic racing seat and racing wheel setup with force feedback that works on the PS3. Forza 4 is going to land later this year as an Xbox 360 exclusive. The new version for the game will offer players some bonus cars if they buy early enough to get a game from the initial production run.
The in-game pack for the launch of the game will include five cars, one of which is a 1965 Ford Mustang GT Coupe. The four other vehicles included in the launch package are the Koenigsegg Agrea 2011, Lexus SC300 1997, RUF RGT-8 2011 and Tesla Roadster Sport 2011. It’s sort of cool that the electric Tesla is being featured. Microsoft is also announced the cover art for the game.
The 65 GT didn’t make the cover, that honor when to the Ferrari 458 Italia, which is an epic car in its own right. The Ferrari 458 Italia was a perfect fit for the Forza Motorsport 4 hero car,” said Turn 10 studios creative director Dan Greenawalt. “It has the ideal blend of style, creative flair, cutting-edge technology and power that makes it just as gorgeous to look at as it is thrilling to take to the track. We’ve worked closely with our partners at Ferrari to bring this amazing car to life in your living room.”
Forza 4 is rumored to include about 500 cars, Kinect driving, and has Jeremy Clarkston as a narrator. If it has the Boss 302 as one of those cars, I am totally buying it.
