The year 2012 is going to be a great year for the Ford Mustang, we can just tell. First off, the 2013 Mustang is new and improved, with a meaner look, LED taillights, and lots of new technology. 2012 is also the 50th anniversary of Shelby and his famous Cobra race car. Roush is also bringing out some beautiful new Mustangs for 2013, including the much-anticipated “Premier Edition” RS3 muscle cars.
In fact, those RS3 Premier Edition Mustangs are now under production, and our friends over at Mustangs Daily got their hands on some of the first pictures as these brightly-colored automobiles rolling off the assembly line.
The Roush RS3 Premier Edition Mustangs offer all the standard top-end stuff you’d expect from a Roush Mustang. This includes a supercharged 5.0L engine making 550 horsepower, a tighter suspension for sharper corner carving, and improved brakes to bring everything to a sudden, controlled stop.
But the real draw of the Premier Edition RS3 Mustangs are the outlandish colors. Normally Roush seems content with standard Mustang colors with some special stripe packages. But the Premier Mustangs come in a bevy of bodacious colors with names like Blue Bayou, Gold Rush, and Red Blooded American. Our favorite though? The more demure (and very dark) “Mean Green” convertible seen above.
