Unveiled this past weekend, in Corona, California, Steve Saleen gave the world a second peak at the impending 2015 S302 Saleen Mustang. The side rendering was on display at the Annual Saleen Car Show, where spectators got an up close look at the soon to be released Saleen Mustang. The first major redesign of the Mustang since 2005, this is a great opportunity for Saleen to take their signature version of the pony to new levels in performance and appearance.
With a complete side view rendering, we can see that the overall appearance of the S302 model is significantly more aggressive in stance. With the addition of side splitters, a Saleen style signature rear spoiler, iconic Saleen wheels, graphics package, and the complete redesign of the front grille fascia. The S550 model has been reimagined by the Saleen team with great success.
Building intrigue and hype, Saleen is still leaving us wondering what the performance enhancements will be to back up the new aggressive appearance. Most likely we can expect a lowered, track-focused suspension and with Saleen’s past history of tuning the 5.0 liter engine, this ride will probably drop 450 HP to the pavement. Expect the line up to offer a supercharged option as well. With the new configuration of the S550, it will be interesting to see the under the hood set up for sure.
Still to be seen is the rear and the full 360 view of the all new S302. If the rear is as aggressive in appearance as the front fascia and the side view, we must contend this is yet another master piece creation delivered by Steve Saleen. Keeping us on edge, stay tuned for future updates on the impending 2015 Saleen S302. What do you think of this latest rendering of the 2015 S302 Saleen?
