SEMA, the Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association, holds what could be the greatest car show on the planet, every year in Las Vegas. Major automakers and aftermarket companies alike flock to this gathering to show off their wares, brag of their accomplishments, and to show off their highly customized vehicles for public consumption. After the show, many of these vehicles find a second life on the collector car circuit. And such appears to be the case of the WD-40 Ford Mustang built for last year’s SEMA show. It has found its way to Hemmings classified section, where it’s now for sale for just $119,995.
Unlike many other SEMA cars though, the WD-40 Mustang was built with a chairtable purpose at heart; it was auctioned off last January as part of SEMA Cares, with the money going to the Childhelp foundation. It helped raise over $200,000 for the foundation that assists abused and neglected children – a noble cause indeed.
The car itself ain’t half bad either. With 600 horsepower on tap, a custom body kit and paint job, Katzskin leather interior and way too much more to list, it certainly is a potent and valuable Mustang. It would appear though that the new owner has decided to recoup some of the auction money, and move on to greener pastures. So that now gives the rest of us (or at least those of us with fat wallets) to make a move on this unique Mustang. Would you rock this beast, or would you have to pass?
