With custom tuning now available for the Gen 4 Coyote 5.0-liter, SPE Motorsport unleashed a twin-turbo system option for the 2024-and-newer Mustangs. Created with modern computerized design, this system is engineered to deliver bolt-on fitment while supporting strong four-digit power levels.
“SPE Motorsport has been developing and testing a simple, factory-style bolt-on twin turbo solution for the 2015+ Mustang for years,” the company said. “Our system offers the easiest OEM-like installation on the market, all while delivering over 2,000-horsepower potential. We’ve built countless custom turbo systems for customers and dealers, and nearly all of them want one thing: a simple system that installs in hours, not days.”

The company positioned this 2024+ S650 Mustang GT/Dark Horse Twin-Turbo System (P/N SPE-C100220; $9,000) as a practical solution rather than a complex custom job. It system bolts on without permanent modifications and integrates cleanly with the S650 chassis, while offering significant headroom for performance gains depending on the turbochargers selected. The standard kit is a tuner kit, so buyers can supply their own supporting hardware and tuning, but SPE can add options like fuel system upgrades and more to fulfill this power adder’s potential.
Bolt-On Options
Turbo options range from the forthcoming G6060 dual-ball-bearing turbos, targeted at manual-transmission builds where quick response is essential, to the P60 series that scales in size and capability. The largest option, the P6766, supports more than 1,800 horsepower while still maintaining street drivability.

To ensure bolt-on fitment and clean compatibility with the latest pony car platform, SPE relied on computational fluid dynamics to develop aspects of the system. Highlights of that work include high-flow adapters that connect to the factory manifolds that promote smooth exhaust flow and precise boost control, while a billet scavenge reservoir system, also designed with CFD, keeps the low-slung turbos properly lubricated.
As a result of these efforts, the company boldly proclaimed that “Superchargers can’t come close to the potential of our turbo system.” With that in mind, we can’t see what this setup will deliver at the rear wheels.
