Team Aruba, which hails, obviously, from the country of Aruba, has become a familiar site in the world of drag racing in recent years; first in all-Ford competition and more recently in the Mountain Motor Pro Stock and ADRL Extreme Pro Stock ranks. During the off-season, the team has gone through some wholesale changes in their preparations for an assault on the popular ADRL category, namely in the way of a brand spankin’ new race car.

Just recently completed and fresh out of the paint shop is the new 2011 Ford Mustang, built by Jerry Haas Race Cars in Fenton, Missouri that will again be driven by Trevor Eman. Team Aruba campaigned their previous car, a 2006 Ford Focus, for several years with mixed success and the new ride should provide great boost in the performance department in a loaded Extreme Pro Stock class. The car sports a similar paint scheme to the Focus, with a festive tropical theme with a fresh new layout of colors that’ll be hard to miss at the race track.

Eman finished the Mountain Motor Pro Stock Association (MMPSA) season eighth in points and 11th in the ADRL standings.

The Mustang will again received motivation from an 825 cubic inch Ford Hemi built by Jon Kaase Racing Engines. producing just under 2000 horsepower. Look for Team Aruba and their new Mustang as the ADRL season kicks off in Houston in just over two months.
