The Carlisle Ford Nationals Return for 2011

For a long time now, those that bleed Ford blue have planned on being in the south central portion of Pennsylvania in early June for the Carlisle Ford Nationals. This year represents the 15th Anniversary of the nameplate event and continues to bring an agenda of events and opportunities that cannot be beat.

Ford, Lincoln and Mercury fans will find a gateway to over 2,200 vehicles on the NPD showfield. Additional activities at the show this year include: indoor displays of concepts, customs and historically-significant cars and trucks; test drives by Ford Motor Company; a burnout competition; kids’ activities; industry guests; a car giveaway; NHRA drag racing; autocross for all skill levels and club gatherings.

A huge part of the Carlisle experience is the shopping experience, including an enormous swap meet, car corral and the Manufacturers Midway for the best in parts buying. For the first time, downtown Carlisle will be the scene of a Ford Parade and Street Party on Saturday, June 4th. This event is limited to 400 cars and a separate pre-registration is necessary.

Other special events this year include a Team Shelby Reunion, the Yellow Mustang Registry Showfield, a special celebration of the 1961 Galaxie Starliner, a separate Young Guns at Carlisle Showfield and recognition of the Ford Pinto’s 40th Anniversary. Additional activities are under development and will be announced as they are finalized.

Online show field registration for the 2011 season is now open! Save time and register online today. As well, you can check out the video below for a look at last year’s burnout contest.
