Not too long ago, we brought you the story of the UBB Mustang and it’s more muscular sibling, the UBB 1100 Widow Maker. My friend, Tim Porter, is behind the UBB, which stands for Ultimate Bad Boy, and he has built one heck of a monster Mustang. We brought you the feature earlier about this possibly being the fastest production street-legal Mustang yet. We have some inside info as well. This bad boy went over to the UK and was awaiting filming around Christmas, according to Tim.
What I know about this sleek and powerful car is that it’s a beautiful monster. Riding around the Las Vegas strip after the SEMA show, the Widow Maker demands attention from everyone in the general vicinity. Believe me when I say there was no shortage of stares, head nods, or occasional ogling at the traffic light. Wait, make that every traffic light. It’s as mean as it sounds, throwing you back in the seat with a roar.
Here’s a fact that you may find interesting, though. Tim Porter is British. Why is that interesting? Well, he built one heck of an American car, and we’re very curious to see how the fellow UK Top Gear trio will take to this new sleek version of a Mustang. While they’re normally bashing away at the American car, maybe Mr. Porter can win Jeremy Clarkson over with this brit-built sinister Stang!
The exterior is beautiful, with a black body sporting real carbon fiber accents. Inside the car, Tim designed the whole instrument cluster himself. The dash is a dark suede and not cheap to make.
What does the UBB Widow Makers 1100 Mustang have to offer these guys? Well, it goes 0 to 60 in 3.4 seconds and reaches 230 miles per hour. It makes 1,100 BHP with 800 lbs-ft of torque out of a 5.4L Whipple supercharged 32-valve V8 and 5800cc quad cam. It has a 3.75 limited slip differential, UBB suspension coil overs, double adjustable coil over shocks, and Advan Traction control. Other performance mods include twin cooling fans, 100cc fuel injectors, alloy flywheel, and carbon twin plate clutch.
The exterior features the unique UBB full carbon body kit, three-piece split rim alloys 10.5×19, 305x35x19 Toyo 888 Tyres, and stopping power provided by Brembo. The interior features air conditioning, CD player, Microsoft Sync, voice and hand controls, and the UBB 230 mph speedometer being Tim’s creation.
If you’d like to opt for the Extra’s comfort pack, you get sweet Recaro racing seats, de-catted pipes, tinted windows, the Alcantra dash and center console, and H/carbon fiber inserts throughout.
Like we’ve mentioned before, one of these will cost you about $135K – $150K, which includes the cost of the new car. Delivery time on one of these ultimate bad boys is just 12 weeks.
This isn’t the first time the UBB Mustang has been mentioned and not by us. It has made an appearance on Fifth Gear and in the book of 100 Sexiest Cars.
What do you think Jeremy Clarkson and the UK Top Gear guys are going to think about this? We’ll soon find out!
