With so many iterations of the S550 Mustang available on the market today, Hennessey Performance enters the world of Mustang performance strong with the sale of the company’s HPE750 supercharged equipped ’16 Mustang GT convertible.
The car is currently under construction for the new owner, and will be available for sale on February 21st, 2016. If you’re familiar with the HPE750 Supercharged upgrade, you’ll know it was featured on Jay Leno’s Garage back in May when Hennessey road tested another HPE750 equipped ’15 Mustang. Capable of hitting 207.9 MPH, this Mustang became the first sixth-gen to break the 200 MPH threshold. You’ll also know that the upgrade uses a 2.9-liter supercharger system, along with a HPE air induction system, upgraded fuel injectors, an upgraded fuel pump, a stainless steel exhaust system, and a HPE engine management calibration.
Getting down to the finer details of the HPE750 upgrade, throughout the exterior and the interior of the HPE750 Mustang, you’ll find many Hennessey, HPE, and Supercharged badges. The exterior modifications continue with the company’s ‘Aero Carbon Fiber’ exterior upgrades as well, which includes a new carbon fiber front splitter, side sills, and a rear lip spoiler.
Hennessey tailors the package together with its H10 Lightweight 20-inch wheels which are mounted on the factory tires. Sticking to the aspect of reliability, the upgrade also includes all of the necessary gaskets and fluids replaced before enduring a road testing and dyno testing session establishing the car has met all standards. The new owner of this 700-plus horsepower Mustang can also expect subtle yet tasteful touches on the new Mustang, like a set of Hennessey premium floor mats and a serial-numbered dashboard and engine plaque.
