We here at StangTV have been following the saga of the Bosch Iridium Edition RTR Mustang with a lot of zeal the past few months. One might say we were obsessed with this one-off blue Mustang, which Bosch and Vaughn Gittin Jr. teamed up to build to promote Bosch’s new iridium spark plugs. The car was part of a contest, and though we kept our fingers crossed that we’d be the winners, alas, it was not to be.
Mustangs Daily reports that James Casity Sr. of Stockton, California, was the lucky winner of this unique Mustang. He was even lucky enough to be handed the keys by 2010 Formula Drift winner Vaughn Gittin Jr. himself.
The Iriduim Edition Mustang RTR is truly a unique car, featuring Gittin’s RTR Mustang body kit and a number of performance upgrades including shocks, a Ford Racing tune, and slotted/drilled rotors. But the real draw is the unique look featuring a special paint job, blue wheels, and plenty of body kit pieces from Gittin’s RTR package.
Vaughn Gittin Jr. presented the keys to the car to Casity at the AAPEX event in Las Vegas last week. Gittin said that the “ear to ear smile” of Casity made all the hard work “worth it.” Indeed, it must be a special feeling giving away a special car, and while we may not have won ourselves, we congratulate Casity on his new car. Maybe it bring many smiles and burnouts to him and his family.
