The born again Boss 302 is a force to be reckoned with, especially the track-ready Boss 302 Laguna Seca edition. Most people would leave it be and not mess with the 444 hp that the beast is already putting down to the ground. Leave it to Hennessey Performance to transform their Boss 302 Laguna Seca into a totally different monster. John Hennessey’s Boss 302 is completely ridiculous…and in a ridiculously good way! We can’t say no to a high-performance beast putting down almost twice the stock horsepower.
Matt Farah from the Smoking tire went down to Texas to check out the Boss that’s putting down 700 hp. The guys at Hennessey Performance installed a TVS2300 Supercharger pushing 8 psi of boost through the already powerful Coyote 5.0L V8. According to Matt, the Boss looks, sounds, and feels stock until you push that gas pedal and you’re thrown back into your seat. Matt was afraid they had ruined a perfectly good Boss with an aftermarket tune but it turned out to be pretty amazing. The suspension still handles those corners like nobody’s business and the steering is excellent. Also, the brakes have been upgraded with pads and fluid. Besides a few new goodies, the beast is stock.
