One of the most popular modifications for every model Mustang since they car was introduced has been to change the exhaust. Typically this type of swap yields a sweeter sound, and in many cases more horsepower. Gibson Performance Exhaust was one of the first to market with an exhaust system for the 2015 Mustang GT.

Gibson’s testing shows their test 2015 Mustang benefiting from not only the sound but also from a substantial increase in horsepower to the rear tires. Those power gains were 32 hp at 6,500 RPM ,and 34 lb-ft of torque at 4,000 RPM. There’s also a substantial weight savings by switching to a Gibson system from the heavy factory parts.

Perhaps more important to many Mustang owners the system’s sound. What sounds great to one person may be an annoying noise to another. Fortunately there’s a few before and after videos from customers who have installed a Gibson system.
