Ken Block certainly gets around. Whether it is racing across the arid deserts of Mexico, tearing up the backwoods of the Pennsylvania woods, or skidding across the tarmac of Europe’s tight roads, Block has been there, done that. In fact, he has even taken that which made him famous, the Gymkhana stunt videos, and made a world-spanning tour out of it.

This video, straight from the Monster Energy World Rally team, has highlights from Block and crew’s recent trip to the Land Down Under aka Australia. And boy, does it look badass.

The Aussie leg of the tour took place at Calder Park Raceway in Melbourne, and Block kicked things off in his usual over-the-top self, flying around the track in his 600 horsepower all-wheel drive Fiesta like a bat out of hell. It is a Gymkhana tour, after all, so there was much in the way of drifting, power sliding, donuts, and just about anything else the King of Hooning could throw at the crowd.

Block and the Fiesta weren’t the only athletes at the tour though. Other Monster Energy drivers like Jamie Whincup, who drives in the Australian V8 Supercar series, were also there for the show. As we previously saw, Whincup and Block lined up for a drag race with Block coming out on top. Nathan Pretty was there too with his Holden Ute whipping around the circuit, as was Rob Whyte and his Nissan 370Z.  Oz was the last stop on the 2011 tour schedule…but judging from the packed stands, the event was a success, and we’re sure 2012 will see the return of a bigger, better Gymkhana World Tour.XX
