The Austrian Alps offers some of the most spectacular scenery in all of Europe. It is also home to some of the most sought after road trips you will find in the world. Whether you choose to plan an epic drive tackling Austrian’s highest mountain pass at Grossglockner, or the sweeping cambered turns of Hahntennjoch, it’s easy to see how the mountain passes of Austria are on many drivers’ bucket lists.
So what Ford Performance vehicle could we see ourselves driving while exploring the Austrian Alps scenic landscape? The Ford GT, of course! Lucky for us, the team at Michelin released a video that showcases just how great the American-made supercar looks while tackling the paved roads in Europe.
In fact, the Ford GT almost blends in perfectly with the Austrian scenery and proves yet again this 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 was specifically build to enjoy both on and off the track.
Shot for an upcoming episode the DriveStyle web series, this film follows professional racer Matthias Malmedie and TV personality Helge Thomsen as they explore different aspects of car culture in Europe.
But one of our favorite parts of the video had to be within the first two minutes when Helge Thomsen introduces professional 24 hours of Le Mans driver Matthias Malmedie to the Ford GT for the first time. The barn find-style introduction to the supercar was the perfect touch and added bucket-list appeal to the video.
The 8-minute movie has it all; a great car, magnificent landscape and a rather fun challenge at the end that not only gives Ford GT fans a chance to see the car in action, but it left us wanting to see what the next epic video the Michelin team has in store for us.
