According to a recent article in the San Diego Union Tribune, what you need to make an impression with your car is Ford Racing Wheels, Pirelli Tires, a 3dCarbon body kit, and a lot of money. The article goes on to cite that the thriving automotive aftermarket is being fueled by baby boomers who now have the dough to get their dream cars of yesteryear, which are primarily musclecars. According to the author these same baby boomers are purchasing expensive “add-ons” for their newly acquired Mustangs and Camaros to one-up “fellow drivers.”

As a do-it-yourself performance Ford enthusiast, where do you fit into this equation? Or, did we miss the point of the entire article? Read Story
