Ford Mavericks, and their Mercury Comet counterparts, are fully represented on Stefan Thibeault’s Maverick.to website. The site is a conglomeration of informational pages, technical FAQ, forums and classified. Clearly Stefan has made this the community for Maverick and Comet owners worldwide. We believe Maverick.to will only continue to grow in popularity as these cars are fast becoming the muscle car of choice for new and old hobbyists weary of the over-inflated Mustang and Falcon prices, and looking to be unique.
Our favorite part of the site has to be the Gallery. Just check out some of these incredible examples of killer looking Mavericks. The lead image above is Tammy and Tom Hackmans 1972 Maverick. It’s got a T5 conversion with an 8.8 rear end. Gotta dig the Cobra wheels. The ’72 Grabber Green car belongs to Shawn Simpson. Kudos Shawn for a clean ride and enviable stance. The back end of the Grabber Blue mav is Ray Parrish’s ’71 with a Shelby treatment! How sweet are those sequential lights in the Maverick tail panel?!

We have always loved the body style of the Maverick. The two-door versions were much sportier looking than most pony cars of the time, and the body lines resemble a Fastback-like profile. In fact, the Maverick may indeed have to be FordMuscle’s next project car!
