The 289-302-351W motors have been around for nearly half a century, and sure while there are tons of factory and aftermarket valve covers for these motors, nothing lately really “pops”. We’ve generally stuck with using the Ford Racing die-cast “tall” cover on our builds, but they are admittedly overused and a bit boring. The guys over at Proform Parts have been trying to tell this to Ford corporate for quite some time. Proform, among other things, has had exclusive rights to design valve covers for our bow-tie counterparts for years now. If you’ve ever peered under the hood of a Chevy and seen some killer, factory-looking, valvecovers, they are likely to have been designed and manufactured by Proform. Well blue-oval guys, today Proform is announcing the availability of their slant-edge valvecovers for small block Fords.
We dig the aggressive and modern look of these new Proform valvecovers. Using an innovative mold design, these die-cast valve covers offer more internal clearance for large valvetrain applications. With six choices available including black crinkle, polished, chrome, cast gray, and the fanatical Ford Blue!
You can get these valvecovers through a variety of online dealers and speedshops.
