SEMA 2007 - My Dad Had One of Those

SEMA Torino
By listening to the buzz around Steve Strope’s 1972 Gran Torino project you’d think they must have produced 10 million fastback Torinos. Why? Because everybody’s dad in the central hall at SEMA 2007 owned a 1972 Fastback at one time or another. All kidding aside, this car definitely drew a crowd at a much tamer SEMA show this year. Here are a few quick pics of the car from Thursday November 1st at SEMA. Those familiar with the car can identify some of the unique touches he did on this build.

  2. Everybody knows Somebody that had a Torino…only a few of us still do! God Bless the Torino!

  3. I get comments like that about the Granada, except that usually it is a blue-haired little old lady who says she “had one just like that”, or someone saying their mom had one.

  4. Hey, we had a 72′ wagon.. Still have the 351c and c-5 from it!!!
