Here is another chance for subscribers to win some cool swag courtesy of FordMuscle. In our recently posted August-September 2006 issue, there is a taillight lens on the workbench in caption 7 on page 3 of the article “Electronic Ignition Conversions”. You’ll need to click on caption 7 and enlarge the photo in order to see the lens. FYI… It’s not the LTD pictured here, you’ve got to go to the article!
Quick Update: We have our winners. The correct answer was “Meteor”. We’ll post the winners soon.
If you can’t access page three, it’s probably because you are not a FordMuscle subscriber. For information on subscribing, see our main navigation bar.
Hi! I was surfing and found your blog post… nice! I love your blog.
Cheers! Sandra. R.
By Anonymous. September 10th, 2009 at 5:49 amThe lens in the header above is a ‘68 XL….although it COULD be from a ‘68 LTD, since the taillights are the same. Here’s a picture of me (taken back in ‘85) of mine:

However, that’s not the lens they’re asking you to identify.
By Keith. November 26th, 2006 at 10:37 pmIt’s a tailight from a 68 ford xl The name galaxie was dropped from the68 ford xl line up. also the back trunk molding is different on the xl versus the galaxie 500. the xl trunk trim has oval circles on it while the galaxie ’s are rectangular. Look closely & you will see the difference.
