My neighbor drops by the other day and asks if her upstart modeling agency could use my 73 Torino (aka FordMuscle’s Project Torino) for a photoshoot they were going to perform. The intent of the shoot was really just to “fill out” the modeling agency’s portfolio of available models. I said “yes” of course, they’re great neighbors. Here are a few shots I took while I waited patiently for the professional photographer to do his work. Thought it was a sign of the times since you just don’t see “Stoner” machines like Project Torino on the road or in pop art, even though the “Rat Rod” trend is alive and kicking. I always thought there may be some appeal for the unfinished but well-built 70’s musclecar. Anyhow, here it is.
We drove to a remote water tower in the hills overlooking Reno, NV.
Something tells me this will be the most viewed image ever placed on the conservative pages of www.fordmuscle.com
The sleek lines of the human element on the hood contrasted well with the battering ram styling of the 1973 Torino front end. “Contrast” is an important component of creative work, or so they say in Art school.
When the shoot wrapped up I left in a conflicted state wondering who the real star of the show was and why she posed for free. Insert frown between headlights.

when I was 10 my dad bought a new 1968 Torino GT ( Black ) Loved that car ,and all Torino’s after that to this day . But that was pretty cool they did asked to do that shoot ,can’t wait till you finish the Torino .
