www.Maverick.to

Tammy Hackman Ford Mavericks, and their Mercury Comet counterparts, are fully represented on Stefan Thibeault’s Maverick.to website. The site is a conglomeration of informational pages, technical FAQ, forums and classified. Clearly Stefan has made this the community for Maverick and Comet owners worldwide. We believe Maverick.to will only continue to grow in popularity as these cars are fast becoming the muscle car of choice for new and old hobbyists weary of the over-inflated Mustang and Falcon prices, and looking to be unique.

Our favorite part of the site has to be the Gallery. Just check out some of these incredible examples of killer looking Mavericks. The lead image above is Tammy and Tom Hackmans 1972 Maverick. It’s got a T5 conversion with an 8.8 rear end. Gotta dig the Cobra wheels. The ‘72 Grabber Green car belongs to Shawn Simpson. Kudos Shawn for a clean ride and enviable stance. The back end of the Grabber Blue mav is Ray Parrish’s ‘71 with a Shelby treatment! How sweet are those sequential lights in the Maverick tail panel?!

We have always loved the body style of the Maverick. The two-door versions were much sportier looking than most pony cars of the time, and the body lines resemble a Fastback-like profile. In fact, the Maverick may indeed have to be FordMuscle’s next project car!

Visit Maverick.to for more great Maverick and Comet info.

Being on the other side of the world to where the car was made it is hard to get spacific information even with the world wide webb

  2. I was told my grandmother had a 71 maverick v8 convertible I had doubts of such a car, please tell me if my family is just mistaken.

  6. Stefan has put together an extended family. Everybody on Maverick.to that I have dealt with have been good, honest , hardworking people. Always somebody that knew the answer to any questions about Mavericks and Comets , no matter how hard or how silly they may be. I have been helped and hope that I have been of help to many. If it wasn’t for Maverick.to, I wouldn’t own my current project 74 Maverick, bought from a board member. I’m a trucker and gone much of the week, but when I get home, my first stop is on Maverick.to to cure my withdrawals! Great site, many thanks to Stefan for his hard work!

  7. Mavericks started it all for me. At the age of 15, my ‘73 4door was left to me from a family member. Thanks to Stefan’s site, I have continued to be a part of the Maverick/Comet community and have owned a total of 7 Ford Mavericks and one Mercury Comet GT.

The Maverick.to site is more than just a forum, it’s family.
Thanks to Stefan, his contribution to the Maverick/Comet community will never be forgotten but instead will continue to grow thru the knowledge and great relationships this forum has to offer.

  8. I have been a member of this forum for several years and have watched it grow at an incredible rate, thanks to Stefan for running a clean and very informative site. I don’t miss a day without at least visiting. I have met a lot of the members in person (including Stefan) and have made some truly great friends…not to mention getting to see some awesome cars. I’m addicted forever!

  9. also a member of maverick.to i have to say it is an excelent site. I dont know where i’d be without it. you wouldnt believe all the looks i get and everybody that comes up and talks to me about it. seems like everyone had a Maverick back in the day and a tale to tell about it. Its also nice to see all the publicity they are starting to get in diffrent magazines, im kinda bored of ford magazines being 99% mustang

  10. I have been into Mavericks for decades.
    Mainly because I couldn’t afford a Mustang.
Who knew that they would become cool!?!?!
The Maverick site gets much of the credit IMO.
    Dave

  11. Mavericks ARE gaining popularity. It shows by looking in the junkyards. Years ago, you could find a Maverick or Comet (2 or 4 door) in a junkyard anywhere. Today, when you do find one, it’s been stripped of everything, which tells me that someone probably has one and is possibly restoring it I’ve had about a dozen of them over the years ranging from junker 4 doors with nasty rust to super clean 2 door cars that I sold for a couple buck’s profit. One of them was a ‘74 that turned a lot of heads with a junkyard turbocharged 302. I could not have done it without the guys & gals over at the maverick message board. I actually wouldn’t mind finding another Maverick for a future project.

  12. Stefan does run a great site. Nearly 300,000 posts
from a total registration of 5,900+ members says
something about the interest in 1969-1977(or higher
in Brazil) Mavericks and 1971-1977 Comets.

  13. Im a member of this site, and I have to say there is a great bunch of people on this site. Genuinely helpful and always full of ideas! No snobs here. There are plenty of awesome Mavericks about to make their debut and this will only help the community to grow.

    Thanks Stefan.

  14. Maverick.to is an awesome website. It is home of THE Maverick Message Board.

  15. I am a member of the Maverick Forum, and I own a 1971 Ford Maverick. I would like to say that the Maverick Forum that Stefan has put together is absolutely awesome. I love being able to go from all the different topics and finding out new mods and information that all my fellow members have done or are looking to do.

    Thanks Stefan.
