But this ‘65 Mustang found on Bring A Trailer is a different kind of 4×4 muscle car. Using a special 4WD system developed by Formula 1 engineers, this Mustang can spin all four-wheels while retaining its original chassis and suspension. Crazy, cool, or just kind of wacky?
Harry Ferguson developed a series-winning 4WD system for Formula 1 race cars during the ‘50’s and 60’s. Called the Ferguson Formula, all three Mustangs would be equipped with a unique transmission and transfer case.
