Every year, hundreds of Mustangs the world over are auctioned, raffled, and sold off to support noble charities. One of the best established charity raffles is the Mustang Dream Giveaway, which offers the lucky winner not one, but two awesome Mustangs; one contemporary, the other a noted classic.
This year’s winner of the Mustang Dream Giveaway is Air Force veteran Timothy Millard, who entered the contest after reading about it in the NRA’s “Rifleman” magazine. He went home with a classic 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, as well as a 2012 Shelby GT500. What a prize, eh?
Millard at first thought someone was “pulling [his] leg” when he received the call letting him know he had won the contest. Indeed, how many of us can imagine harboring not one, but two awesome Mustangs in our garage? It is literally a dream come true for many Mustang fans, and even those of us who didn’t win can rest assured that our raffle money went to a good cause. And Millard, an Air Force vet, knows all about what it means to give back.
The Mustang Dream Giveaway supports the WorldCause Foundation, a humanitarian mission dedicated to improving the quality of life for all the planet’s people. Among their initiatives is providing housing, medical supplies, food, and educational equipment to those who need them.
Just more proof that giving away Mustangs is a great way to bring in money and attention to your cause, whatever it may be. And congratulations to Timothy Millard; we hope these Mustangs have found a great home.
