The 2011 Mustang brought with it two new engines; a fuel efficient V6, and a powerful 5.0 V8 codenamed “Coyote.” Now that these engines and cars have been on the road for a couple of years, people are really starting to push these vehicles on the street and on the track. Road racing can be particularly demanding on an engine’s oil system, and all it takes is one sharp, high-speed corner to starve your engine for oil. And we all know what happens to an engine without oil. Therefore Canton has developed an oil pan that keeps the oil where it needs to be.

Canton’s 5.0 road racing oil pan features a diamond-shaped baffle system with four trap doors to control oil movement across the pan. There’s also a removable windage tray and anti-slosh baffle system throughout the pan. Canton’s road race pan also features a magnetic oil drain plug and 7 quarts of oil capacity.
