Buying a brand new Boss 302 Mustang is an expensive endeavor. Even the base-model Boss starts at $42,200, over $10,000 more than the base model Mustang GT. And buying a classic Boss is even more expensive, with those cars often going for twice as much, or even more.
But if you just have to have a Boss…why not build your own? Today’s eBay Find of the Day would be a great place to start. For just $4,500, you can have the entire front clip of a white, 2012 Boss 302 Mustang. Engine and transmission NOT included.
We know, that’s a shame, but for $4,500 you still get most of the front half of the car, including the dashboard, hood, front splitter, steering wheel, and floor panels. And of course there is the all-important front fascia, which will really help turn your plain-Jane Mustang GT into a Boss lookalike. You’ll still new a few parts for the backend, but it is a good start.
It is hard to say what happened to this Boss that it had to but cut in half, but at the very least the front looks to have survived with minimal damage. We’d love to see what happened to the back half, and the engine and transmission too. In our minds, the motor is powering some odd-ball contraption, though a cursory search of eBay did not bring up the rest of this missing Boss.
