The RS takes everything Ford has learned over decades of racing and rallying and mixes it with the latest tech. — Andrew ColeyIf you are into hot hatches, Ford Performance has a number of choices, but its two main contenders are the Focus ST and the Focus RS. To help people choose between these two pocket rockets, Ford turned to World Rallycross presenter Andrew Coley to compare the features of the two vehicles.
For most people the front-wheel-drive Focus ST is the go-to hot hatch that offers a high level of performance in an affordable package. It offers a significant step up from the base Focus thanks to more power, better handling, and a unique look.
” The Focus ST is the first step on the ladder of the hot Focus lineup,” Andrew said. “It looks pretty hot and it is.”
Meanwhile, the Focus RS offers an even higher level of performance. With all-wheel drive, 350 horsepower, and even sharper handling, this car is the hottest hatch in the lineup, but that level of performance comes at a premium.
“The RS takes everything Ford has learned over decades of racing and rallying and mixes it with the latest tech and has created a true, high-performance hero,” Andrew enthused.
