Though their patriarch is gone, Shelby American continues striding forward with awesome new products and an ever-expanding business. And business these days is all about volume. As demand for Shelby vehicles builds up, Shelby finds itself seeking partnerships with other businesses who can provide local support to big-time car communities.
So it makes sense that Shelby American has named the famed Galpin Auto Sports, or GAS, as an officially Shelby Mod Shop. Mustangs Daily reports that this makes it the only Shelby Mod Shop in the Western United States, quite the distinction for America’s largest Ford dealer.
The relationship between Galpin Ford and Shelby actually goes back more than 50 years, when Galpin became the first official Shelby dealer in California. Galpin Auto Sports has joined an exclusive club, as the only other official Shelby Mod Shop is Tasca Ford, in Rhode Island of all places.
As an official Shelby Mod Shop, Galpin Auto Sports can perform work on any Shelby vehicle as an authorized dealer, therefore maintaining any warranties. This also means that any work done will be recorded in the official Shelby registry, which tracks the life of each and every official Shelby vehicle.
It’s a great honor for Galpin Auto Sports to be named an official Shelby Mod Shop. Congratulations are in order, though they definitely earned it.
