When it comes to the King of Hoonigans, there is only one true leader of the tire-shredding movement. His name is Ken Block, the master of Gymkhana and boss behind the newly-formed Hoonigan Racing Division. While Block has already celebrated his unveiling with a new headquarters and livery, we’ve been waiting to see the next ride touched by Mr. Block.
Well the wait is over. Ken Block, in conjunction with tuner shop Fifteen52, took a stock Ford Focus ST and created the Focus ST TrackSTer, a more aggressive, racing-inspired take on Ford’s hot hatchback.
No one can call the look of the 2013 Ford Focus ST boring, but Block and Fifteen52 have taken the exterior aesthetics to the next level. The TrackSTer has a new front fascia, hood, rear fascia, and spoiler, all good for bulking up the look. But the really rally racing inspiration can be seen in the wheel, rally-style wheels, short-throw shifter, and aluminum pedals.
As far as performance upgrades go, Fifteen52 added an exhaust system, upgraded the engine internals, added a limited-slip differential, and tuned the computer for more power. Ain’t nothing wrong with any of that. Suffice to say, this racing-prepped version of Ford’s performance compact is chock full of “do-want” and we hope the Blue Oval has plans of offering a similar kit through Ford Racing Parts. Would you plunk down some hard earned cash to drive this Focus TrackSTer to work every day, and the track every weekend?
