Ken Block, the professional rally driver with the Hoonigan Racing Division (formerly known as the Monster World Rally Team) gave fans a behind-the-scenes glance at Hoonigan Racing Division (HRD) headquarters last week when he let Ford Racing cameras follow him around on a private tour. If you were wondering how you could score your own in-person tour of the facility, you’ll have to participate in the ST Octane Academy at Miller Motorsport Park.
Block shows off the shop, office, and conference room of the colorful 12,000 square-foot facility, which is composed of shipping containers and a few really cool eco-friendly elements, such as kitchen countertops made out of recycled skateboard decks.
A ping pong table can be found in the “entertainment area”, as well as a shipping container filled with a display of Hoonigan products. Block’s office upstairs may be one of the coolest stops on the tour. It has an indoor balcony complete with stuffed bear and personalized chainsaw. The conference room features a table built on wheels used in Gymkhana 4.
The shop is obviously filled with a menagerie of Fords, including Fiesta ST rally cars, the RaptorTRAX project, a Focus ST, and Block’s own daily-driven Raptor. A garage door leads to another suite used for storage and “secret projects” as Block puts it.
