For Mustang owners, there is no bigger event than Mustang Week- a full seven days filled with nothing but parts, projects and activities geared toward the Ford sports car enthusiast. But if you missed this must-see event of the 2012 season, you didn’t completely miss out because our friends over at Late Model Restoration were there covering the entire event in several videos and through photographs. Check out the compilation of some of their footage above.
Mustang Week was held July 16th through the 22nd this year in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The festivities kicked off with a bang at the Ridemakerz VIP party held at 11pm Monday night July 15th with a special Basic Stock Ride giveaway to 100 guests. This party prefaced the official start of the week with the annual Meet-n-Greet on Tuesday where show-goers mingled with other Mustang owners and enthusiasts at the Palace Theater at Broadway at the Beach. Those who made it out to the Meet-n-Greet also got a chance to meet drift king Vaughn Gittin Jr. and check out his amazing Monster Energy Falken Tire 2013 Mustang RTR Drift Car.
The remainder of the week consisted of track time at Myrtle Beach Speedway, an autocross competition, Vaughn Gittin Jr. drift demonstration, burnout competition, drags at Darlington Dragway, car show and Cruise-In. Late Model Restoration covered it all, bringing enthusiasts that couldn’t make the trip updates on their Facebook page and website.
Late Model Restoration’s complete Mustang Week coverage can be viewed on their blog here as well as on their Facebook page, with plenty of videos and pictures to get you planning your trip to the epitome of Mustang events for next year. Check out a couple more videos from Mustang Week below.
