The upcoming 50th anniversary of the Ford Mustang is only a year away, and you better believe that Mustang clubs all over the world are ramping up for this celebration. It is one of the most-anticipated events in Ford’s history, and there will be some truly amazing, fun, and historic celebrations to attend to help ring in a new era of the Mustang.
Now comes news that the famous Mustangs Across America Road Trip is going to happen after all. This is great news for Mustang fans all over America.
Since the 30th anniversary of the Mustang in 1994, Mustangs Across America has organized a massive Mustang convoy to drive to their regular celebrations every five years (corresponding with the big anniversaries). But last year it was announced that Mustangs Across America would instead hold two separate anniversary events on opposite coasts, and would not be organizing a convoy to go along with the events.
That caused quite the outcry, so much so that the powers-that-be changed their mind and announced that there WILL be a road trip. This road trip will be going from the West Coast all the way to the Charlotte, North Carolina event, which will likely be the better-attended event. There will also be complimentary road trips put on by the Mustang Club of America and the Great American Pony Drive, and Mustangs Across America is working with both organizations to ensure there isn’t any headbutting or overlap.
Will you be taking any time off to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Mustang with a cross-country road trip?
