Social media has made it easier than ever for all sorts of companies to reach out and interact with their many fans. Facebook has in fact become the de-facto social media information source, and anybody who is anybody has joined Facebook in order to talk to and encourage fans. Even aftermarket parts companies and racing teams have joined social media efforts to get fans more involved in their marketing.
Roush Performance is one of the more active social media presences on Facebook, and their latest contest is quite…original. Roush wants to put your ugly mug on the back of their #61 Roush Mustang for the next Continental Tire Grand-Am Series race.
The contest rules are simple; Like Roush, fill out this form, and submit your best mug shot for voting by your peers. The best “distractor” face will wind up with their visage plastered to the rear of the #61 Roush Mustang. It’s one way of getting your face out there, eh?
Voting will run through the next two weeks, after which the face with the most votes wins. There is no cash prize and no bevy of performance parts to win; just the knowledge that your hideous face will (hopefully) help distract Roush’s opponents, and give them a competitive edge come the next Grand-Am race. Does your face have what it takes to distract professional race car drivers?
