There’s been a debate raging for decades over America’s dependence on foreign oil. While we get most of our oil from Canada, a lot of it comes from countries in Africa, the Middle East, and South America. It’s a lot of hard-earned American dollars going towards questionable ends.
Like this six-door SVT Raptor. Motorz.tv came across this Raptor stretch limo on YouTube, and it was built by a shop in the United Arab Emirates. This is where your oil dollars are going, America.
We guess it isn’t that much of a stretch, considering that until recently, the F-150 platform underpinned a number of Ford’s larger SUV’s like the Expedition and Excursion. But the SVT Raptor is a purpose-built, off-road machine. This isn’t some half-assed hack job either; the entire bed has been converted into a passenger space, and the quality really looks top notch.
Then again, this is a country where Ferrari’s are passé, and to stand out from the crowd, you’ve got to go big. Literally. This is bound to stand out from the crowd, and even with all the custom work, it was probably a relative bargain by UAE standards. Besides, there’s a lot more room for those hot Arab babes than there is in a Lamborghini.
So next time you go to fill up your gas tank, just remember: you might be financing something like this.
