Top Gear America host and all around automotive badass Tanner Foust lives a life most of us can only dream of. Surrounded by beautiful women, hot cars, and the latest in automotive performance parts, Foust has worked long and hard to position himself as one of the best-known American race car drivers in the world. And that comes with a host of special privileges.
Among those privileges is working with well-known performance shops like Cobb Tuning, which teamed up with Foust to create a one-of-a-kind Ford Focus ST sporting more than 300 horsepower and a bold, in-yo-face look. Best of all, Cobb will sell a kit allowing you to recreate their fast Focus.
At the heart of this kit is a better-flowing intake and exhaust system, freeing up about 20% more power for an estimated 300 ponies at the flywheel. Along with a reflashed ECU and a new intercooler, this gives the Focus ST nearly as much power as a base Mustang V6, but without the extra 1,000 pounds weighing it down. That should make it one fast hatchback.
But looks are nearly as important as horsepower, and Cobb is also offering a special, aerodynamic carbon fiber body kit bits, along with a new grille, graphics, and wheels. While no pricing has been established on the Tanner Foust Edition Ford Focus ST, it looks to be a promising performance package for hot hatch fans the world over.
