Owners or fans of the Ford GT now can now keep lap times in style with a selection of Autodromo watches inspired by the supercar’s style. Ford brass were fans of the company’s fine timepieces and turned to the US-based watchmaker for a line of watches for everyone and a special line targeted specifically at Ford GT owners.
The resulting timepiece strikes a balance of cutting-edge and familiarity, and echoes the car we created. — Chris Svensson, Ford
“When our discussions with Ford began, it was clear that Raj Nair, Henry Ford, and Chris Svensson all wanted to do something extraordinary, something bespoke, and that it would be the greatest challenge and honor of my design career so far to create not one, but two watches that could express the feeling, technology, and history of this amazing car,” Autodromo’s creator Bradley Price said.
The Endurance Series watches are available for preorder now and should ship this December in time for the holidays.
The Ford GT Endurance Chronograph is available in fiver versions inspired by the car’s the long tradition of racing and winning at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The versions are themed around the 1966, 1967, and 2016 races, as well as colors and stripes used as part of the livery on these race cars.
“The intent with the two watches is to essentially tell the story of one watch that has evolved over time just as the car has evolved over time,” Bradley explained. “So in a way we started with the watch from today, and ‘back-dated’ it to what it may have looked like in the past.”
This watch blends vintage and classic styling cues and is built with Swiss fly back chronograph movement, a layered sapphire-crystal dial, and a ceramic case.

Here’s a look at a few of the bits and pieces that make up this Le Mans Blue Ford GT Endurance Series watch, which is one of several new Ford GT-inspired timepieces from Autodromo.

The two companies can definitely proud of the GT Owner’s Edition Watch, which is directly inspired by the styling of the latest supercar. Its crown apes the scroll selectors on the GT steering wheel, while its buttons mimic the car’s paddle shifters. More importantly these timepieces can be custom ordered to feature serialization to match the serial number matching the chassis number on the owner’s personal Ford GT.

“Working closely with Bradley, we experimented to achieve a level of innovation in the watch which reflects the GT, but we balanced this with the desire to create something that would be usable and stand the test of time,” Chris added. “The resulting timepiece strikes a balance of cutting-edge and familiarity, and echoes the car we created.”
More exciting for those lucky enough to own a Ford GT is the pending availability of the Owner’s Edition Series watches, which can be ordered with serial numbers to match a Ford GT’s chassis number.
