Sometimes we get a car here in the United States that is just a bit too much like a family sedan, while the same car in another country is a little bit cooler than ours. We’re starting to see more of a resemblance with cars these days, but who would have ever thought a Ford Granada would be a really cool looking car, let alone a candidate for a twin turbo V8?
There is such a car, and it looks nothing like the Granada that we got here in the states, but if we had we’re sure that it would have been a bit more popular. This Granada we found on corsasport had a nice Cosworth in it, but that was, apparently, getting boring so the owner opted to implant a Ford Modular motor. But it didn’t stop there, not by a long shot.
This Granada went through a complete build, with custom suspension work and a twin turbo Modular Motor. But this isn’t your garden variety Granada, the European version as seen here is quite a looker, and has a mean stance to it. We can’t imagine how many hours went into this build, but one thing is for sure: it’s got plenty of power and a suspension to back it all up.
It’s one very sinister looking Granada and we can only imagine how great it sounds. It’s always great to see what others are doing overseas to their cars, and that cars like this old Granada are getting a second shot at life – while showing the rest of us the kind of potential these cars have.
