The 2015 Mustang will be hitting Ford dealer showrooms in just a few weeks. We’re fairly certain that for the next few months it will be hard to get your hands on one of the hottest new cars in the world. Of course many of the car’s new owners will also be looking for those hot first modifications and Ford isn’t about to disappoint.
Recently someone from Ford Racing stopped by CJ Pony Parts to let them check out a 2015 Mustang GT 5.0. We have to say we’re a bit jealous since we haven’t had any kind of press opportunity with the cars to date aside from the reveal and show appearances. Needless to say CJ’s Bill Tumas was quite excited to get inside the Recaro optioned GT and take a look around.
There’s no driving in the video, but the coolest part has to be the Ford Racing Performance Parts exhaust system that has been installed. Ford is quite likely wrapping up the R&D on this system so that they can have the parts ready for order or even ready to ship as soon as the cars start rolling off dealer lots. The aggressive tone of the exhaust is great, and its our first listen of a the revised Coyote with any aftermarket parts. While it sounds awesome in the video we can’t wait to hear it in person.
No word yet on what other parts Ford Racing is developing for the all new Mustang. The performance parts arm of the blue oval has expanded its offerings over the past two decades. If the S197 platform is any indication we look to see handling packs, ring and pinion sets, some type of handheld tuner, camshafts, and dare we say a supercharger package, in addition to the new axle back exhaust.
We’ll keep you posted as parts start to trickle out and Bill and the team over at CJ Pony Parts are certain to be offering plenty of those parts.
