We have yet to watch the new GT350 on track, in person. While the car was officially unveiled in November, and the GT350R in January, Ford continues to parade these cars around wearing camouflage, likely working out many of the final details before they go on sale.
One of the things we’re anxiously waiting to hear is the sound of the new 5.2 liter Voodoo engine. The flat plane crank V8 will be putting out over 500 hp in naturally aspirated form, making it the most powerful naturally aspirated Mustang that Ford has produced to date.
This quick video shows a GT350 in camo out on the street. We have no way to know if this is a standard GT350 or the GT350R, however the absence of a large rear wing that’s exclusive to the R makes us think this is a GT350. What we do get to hear is the car pulling away from the stop light with a little more throttle than what we’ve heard from the car previously. Our only gripe, it looks like this is a cell phone video, and the person taking it cut it short, 3-4 more seconds and we may have heard a gear change, if we could hear it over the wind noise.
This video just leaves us wanting more from the GT350, and we can’t wait to get behind the wheel of one the first chance Ford gives us.
