With the low strain on the engine, our kit is the best option to keep the longevity of the factory powerplant.—John Urist, HellionRemember the Ford dealership that made a name for itself by offering supercharged Mustangs for under $40,000. They are back at it by offering 2017 Mustang GTs upgraded with Hellion Power Systems twin-turbos for under $50,000.
A Lebanon Ford rep just called Hellion president John Urist and said they wanted a kit and were going to start offering it. When word of the package was revealed, it shot around the Internet faster than a twin-turbo boost gauge climbs toward the sky.
“Lebanon has been one of our dealers, and they decided to option our system to offer the most powerful dealer optioned super car,” John told us. “With the low strain on the engine, our kit is the best option to keep the longevity of the factory powerplant.”

Just like its supercharged 727 Mustangs, the LFP Hellion Mustangs begin life as a new Mustang ordered with the modest 300A package. You can choose any trim level you like, but the price will go up accordingly. From there are two Hellion packages that support 600 horsepower and beyond.
Package 1 includes the Hellion system, a Bassani cat-back exhaust, Ford Performance 47 lb/hr fuel injectors and the labor to install the kit. The Mustang with this system will set you back $45,499. If you want to be able to turn the boost up for more power, Package 2 also includes 95 lb/hr fuel injectors, a JMS PowerMax fuel pump voltage booster, Triangle Speed Shop oil pump gears, TSS timing gears and Driveshaft Shop 800-horsepower halfshafts. A Mustang so equipped will run you just shy of 50 large at $49,995.
“This car is kind of a collaborative effort by the performance team,” Josh Hipp, of Lebanon Ford Performance, explained. “We had multiple technicians working on it, and it turned out really, really well. The power is insane. It just comes on and hits all at once!”
The power is insane. It just comes on and hits all at once!—Josh Hipp, Lebanon FordAs we know, Hellion offers twin-turbo systems for 2015+ Mustang GTs and Shelby GT350s. Hellion’s John Urist obviously believes his systems are the ideal fit for the dealer packages. In fact, the kits that Lebanon installs and sells are the same as those John offers.
“The kit is the same kit for Lebanon as we sell to our customers,” John explained. “When purchased from Lebanon, you get a complete, professionally installed package on a brand-new car. The system is set at 6-7 psi, but can be stepped up to over 20 if ever desired and proper modifications are performed.”
Some of those modifications are included in the Stage 2 package, but if you are ramping things up to the full capabilities of the Hellion system, you may need even more robust hardware.
“The cool thing about this car is it is running 6-7 pounds of boost,” Josh raved. “That’s going to make about 600 horsepower at the wheels, but that’s a base. This car is rated up to 1,400 horsepower, so it can only go up from there.”
There is one catch, however. The cars are sold post-title, so they won’t carry the manufacturer’s powertrain warranty. However, if you are driving away in a car that could be turned up to four-digit output, that shouldn’t really be a surprise.
