Last year the NMRA held the inaugural SVT Shootout on their tour stop at Maryland International Raceway, and VMP Superchargers along with the NMRA is proud to announce that the partnership in the Terminator/GT500 class will continue in 2014.
Over the weekend of May 2-4, 2014, the NMRA will stop at MIR with the SVT Shootout again, and the Terminator/GT500 Shootout class will be front-and-center during the festivities, just as it was last year. The event will bring together some of the quickest Cobras and GT500’s in the country all at one event, with cars like Evolution Performance’s incredible 8-second GT500 sure to be on the property in competition. Last year Harold Horton went on to take the win over Jacob Conant in a wild final round that saw Conant stand his Cobra on the bumper.
VMP Tuning and VMP Superchargers, owned by Justin Starkey, are based in Deltona, Florida, and have a long history within the Mustang marketplace.
Starkey has been tuning Fords since 1999 and can count time spent as part of the technical support staff at SCT among the accomplishments on his resume.
With well over 2,000 cars tuned to date, he’s been able to establish the company at the forefront of Ford aftermarket tuning calibration, and VMP Superchargers is the latest offshoot of that program.
The company offers superchargers to fit a number of Ford vehicles, along with parts designed to help those supercharger systems sing. Their quick-change pulley system, high-flow CNC-ported supercharger entry elbow, and Twin Jet 67mm throttle body are just three of the components Starkey has developed to work with the VMP TVS Supercharger.
