It was another exciting weekend of racing action as Hoonigan/Loenbro Motorsports driver Ken Block captured his second consecutive podium finish during the third round of Americas Rallycross Championship at the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières in Canada. The head Hoonigan, along with Loenbro Motorsports driver and teammate Steve Arpin, managed to maneuver the two Focus RS RXs through some fierce competition during qualifying, finishing first in their heat and second overall.

Capturing a top spot in the qualifying heats put the Hoonigan Racing Division’s Focus RS RX in prime position for the semi-finals and ultimately secured a podium finish for Mr. Block.
“It was a challenging weekend to find the top pace but the podium placing felt good,” he said. “I’m looking forward to fighting to get my Ford Focus RS RX on top of the podium at the ARX season-ender at COTA in September.”
Scott Speed, the driver of the No. 41 Oberto-sponsored Volkswagen earned his second top spot at ARX Canada and his teammate and Andretti Autosport driver Tanner Foust managed to race past the head Hoonigan for a second-place finish in the finals. Ken is now sitting in fourth place overall in the ARX Championship season. His Focus RS RX teammate Steve Arpin sits in sixth place.
With one race remaining in the ARX season, Ken is only nine points away from securing a championship podium finish. The final race will have the Hoonigan/Loenbro Motorsports team traveling back to the challenging Circuit of Americas rallycross circuit. It was at this last visit to COTA that Ken managed beat out Volkswagen driver Tanner Foust and Subaru driver Patrick Sandell who are currently standing in his way for a top spot in the championship.
Americans Rallycross heads to Circuit of The Americas for the final round of the Championship on September 29-30. The event will compete alongside the FIA World Rallycross Championship at the inaugural World Rallycross USA. To add even more excitement, hip-hop icon Ludacris will also provide the fans in Austin with world-class entertainment.
