Life is good if you are Mr. Ken Block. The FIA World RX driver got the chance this month to hang out with the team at Ford Chip Ganassi Racing as they battled their way to another podium finish with the Ford GT at the 85th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Just getting the chance to attend a Le Mans race in itself is bucket list worthy, and Ford Performance had a little surprise in store for the head Hoonigan. And that surprise was a triple yellow Ford GT ready and waiting for the Focus RS RX driver to get behind the wheel and enjoy!
I have been begging Ford for about a year and a half to be able to drive one. — Ken Block, Hoonigan Racing Division
“I have been begging Ford for about a year and a half to be able to drive one, so I finally got my chance in Le Mans of all places,” Ken enthused.
For Ken Block, whose team is currently battling for the top spot in the 2017 FIA World RX Championship, finding the time to step away to explore the new Ford GT can be difficult. Luckily it all worked out, and the team at Ford Performance had the pre-production Ford GT ready for Ken to enjoy both on the track and through the beautiful French countryside at Le Mans.

And, in case you missed it, the team at Ford Chip Ganassi Racing had a pretty impressive day as well.
