Random inventions sometimes leave us shaking our heads and asking ourselves just one very simple question: WHY? Sometimes things should just be left un-invented. This one invention falls into the silly creations category regarding the emblem on the front of your car.
According to this YouTube video, you can now order a moving Running Pony logo for the front of your New Edge Mustang, or a moving Chevy emblem. Funny thing is, these are only available for the 1999 – 2004 New Edge Mustangs and the 2010 Camaro. The website, EmblemAlive.com, has your emblem moving needs, that is if you really want a moving pony jumping out of its corral. However, according to their website, you can adjust the speed and give it any sound you like (like your voice, or a horse whinnying and galloping) with the volume is completely adjustable. That doesn’t make us want it any more than we already DON’T.
Supposedly, the emblem uses patent pending VeSAM technology to make the emblem “come alive” with precision actuators. Not sure what the means exactly but sounds very technical. The website says that they have “high fidelity speaker systems” that put out sound that you would like to go along with you emblem. Volume, actions, and motions can all be adjusted and it is all powered by the battery of your car. The device can be deactivated at certain speeds. Some of the grill will require modification to allow installation. However, you can see the big metal plates behind the pony.
It also appears that in the video, these emblems might add a little bit of horsepower for anyone who installs one. Now, that was a joke. You can push a button manually to activate the VeSAM device, use a key fob, or it can automatically start. By opening the driver’s door, starting the vehicle, or putting the car in drive should begin the emblem moving shenanigans. Whichever sound you choose will be set at a factory preset level while starting your vehicle as to not startle anybody around you. Way to take the only fun thing away!
