While Ford has revealed the all-new look of the 2015 Mustang, along with some highly anticipated details and tech features, there’s still very little video or information on this hotly-anticipated automobile. And frankly, not everything Ford has released is all that exciting, including about 150 seconds of Mustang B-roll footage that features the new ‘Stang driving along a road, and little else.
But with some creative editing, and the addition of some AC/DC guitar intros on loop, this once-boring two-and-a-half minute slice of 2015 Mustang B-roll suddenly gets a lot more exciting.
Alas, we’re going to have to ask for the forgiveness of all the hardcore AC/DC fans out there, as we can’t quite put our finger on what song this brief, looped riff comes from (and frankly neither can Shazam). But whatever it is, it sure as hell spices up a video that somehow makes the most exciting car of 2014 look and feel, frankly, a bit boring.
That’s the problem with B-roll footage, which is designed to merely show cars like the 2015 Mustang in motion, rather than for use as promotional materials. But with so much hype and anticipation built up for the 50th anniversary of Ford’s favorite child, fans are eager for any and everything Mustang, and they’re willing to do a little extra work to make it a little more interesting for the masks. We salute these fans and their undying enthusiasm for all things Mustang.
