The Ford Focus RS has been cruising around US soil for almost two years now, but you would be hard-pressed to find a hot hatch enthusiast who would say they are tired of hearing about it. When it comes to competing with similar vehicles in its class, it appears that the RS badge legacy is alive and well here stateside.
Because of the vehicle’s aggressive body style, it only takes a couple of minor exterior upgrades to give this car a nice, custom look.
Pennzoil painted the exterior of the car in a bright Axalta Coating Systems yellow paint scheme with carbon fiber accents from Anderson Composites. While many Focus fanatics are accustomed to seeing a yellow paint scheme on the popular front-wheel-drive Focus ST variant, this was one of the first RS models to sport the bold new color.
This month TJIN Edition, a company known for customizing project vehicles for companies around the country, released a short video showcasing the Focus RS that was on display at SEMA. We were able to spend some quality time with the car as it sat in its display booth at the show, but watching the bright yellow paint sparkle as it drives across the Los Angeles backdrop in this video truly is a treat for the eyes.
The video above is a quick reminder of just how good the hot hatch looks in almost any color and is sure to brighten up any environment you throw at it. You can find the complete list of upgrades that went into this RS build for this year’s SEMA Show here.
