Tomorrow night the first in what will hopefully be a new series of Need For Speed movies hits theaters nationwide. Starring Aaron Paul, a custom Shelby GT500, and the all-new 2015 Mustang, this movie had a big budget and some serious star power behind it. Ford has also been instrumental in promoting the new movie, which we hear ends with what is basically a 2015 Mustang commercial. Not that we’re complaining.
But perhaps you’re tired of the glitz and glamor of Hollywood blockbusters, and would rather watch something a bit more…DIY. In that case, the parody trailer for “Knead Fur Speed” may be right up your alley, especially if you’re a cat fan. And we all know the Internet loves cats.
The video stars several felines in an RC car-powered trailer featuring miniature versions of the Ford Mustang and Porsche 911, among others. The cinematography is especially impressive given the low-budget nature of the parody, and while the special effects aren’t exactly cutting edge, they do the job well enough.
It also serves as a not-so-gritty reminder that Hollywood doesn’t do much to deviate from the standard good-guy-gets-wronged-and-seeks-revenge storyline that the actual Need For Speed movie adheres to. Swap the cats for Aaron Paul and the RC cars for their full-sized versions, and yeah…Just Another Hollywood Car Movie.
