Meet AmericanMuscle.com’s new stealthy 2012 Mustang GT, Project Blackout. Not only does it look stealthy as hell but it is stealthy as hell. This blacked out 5.0-liter is already stacked and ready to go with 366rwhp and with it now in the hands of AM, you know it’s only going to get meaner from here. Their Facebook fans are helping to pick the future mods so go on over and add what you think would help turn this thing into the ultimate street machine.

If you’ve followed AM’s previous builds then you know that they’ve been nothing short of impressive. The stock black 5.0 generated 368hp to the rear wheels and 370 lb/ft of torque. After that, they drove it to the strip completely stock, meaning stock tires with stock tire pressure. It still ran a 13.29 in the quarter mile which is average for the new GT’s.

If you don’t know already, Project Blackout is going to be completed in four different stages and is supposedly going to have more horsepower than it will ever need. Now that the car has been properly introduced, Stage 1 of the Project Blackout build is completed; the AM guys installed a JLT Performance carbon fiber CAI (cold air intake), a Bama Performance custom tuner, JLT Performance oil separator, Classic Design Concepts (CDC) matte black chin spoiler, and a black retro billet grille.

After installing the aforementioned mods, this sinister-looking GT gained an impressive 55 horses and 40 lb/ft of torque! A CAI and a tune are respectable mods for anyone starting out with a stock Mustang GT and looking to gain a little bit more muscle.
