Winter is in full swing across most of the northern U.S., with several states receiving some pretty heavy snowfall the past few days. While most car guys are content to sit and wrench on their rides until the spring thaw, some enthusiasts have been waiting all year for that first snowfall. Because that’s when it is time to bring out the big boy toys.
This teaser video for the SnoBall 500 Rally in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula showcases three Ford SVT Raptors running roughshod over the fresh snow and through the backwoods of this sparsely-populated area. It looks like a lot of fun, so much so that even bigfoot makes a cameo appearance.
This new event is only open to the Ford Raptor off-road destroyer…we mean pickup truck, as it is one of the only stock vehicles that could handle this sort of terrain. From paved roads to snow-covered cow paths, there is all sorts of wintry terrain for Raptor drivers to tackle. At high speeds and with little room for error though, you’d better be sure of your driving skills.
With the SnoBall 500 slated to kick off January 19th through the 21st, there is still time to sign up for this awesome event, if you’re a Raptor owner of course. There’s also a special treat for viewers who stick around for the end of the video. See if you can spot the yeti, starting at around the 3-minute mark. Even sasquatch is a Raptor fan as it turns out.
