Among the manufacturers in the industry with expertise in and carrying a product line of such components, Snow Performance ranks as one of the leaders in the development of aftermarket water-methanol injection systems, and many of their products have been featured right here on the pages of StangTV.
Now for those new to this while high performance things that aren’t privy to water-methanol injection, such a system acts as a way to enhance power by essentially increasing the octane through the cooling effects of vaporized water.
In their latest of Q&A and How-to-Tech videos, the team at Snow Performance answer one of the commonly asked questions, and that is: does the Snow Performance water-methanol injection system work on a carburetor vehicle?
Well, as you’ll see in the video, the answer to that question is a resounding “yes,” and Snow Performance actually offers kits for use with carburetors paired with superchargers and turbochargers. One such kit injects according to vacuum and can deliver 20-25 point octane ratings over pump gas with a 50/50 mix of water and methanol.
As also mentioned, any of Snow Performance’s water-meth systems can be paired with a special carburetor-style plate for standard carbs and larger Dominators.
What all of this means is more power through higher octane ala racing gas while running on standard pump gas. That’s a win-win.
