Any video with Ken Block in it is a viral hit. Anytime the cameras start to roll at Hoonigan’s Donut Garage, insanity usually follows. So what happens when you mix the two and insert a sweet Ford Bronco? Simply put, things get smoking hot.
The Ford Bronco in the video belongs to Ken Block’s wife, Lucy. It is a pretty simple, but effective build. A Ford Performance Parts Coyote 5.0-liter engine and supporting hardware fill the space between the front fenders of the Bronco elevating it to the next level of performance immediately. A set of Currie differentials help plant that modern power to the ground.
Inside the Bronco, it features a basic, but functional interior. Recaro seats, Hoonigan-edition Auto Meter gauges, and a Ken Block edition Momo steering wheel keep the driver planted, informed and in control. A factory Coyote Mustang shifter pokes through the center console in between the aforementioned Recaros.
Ken describes the Bronco as Lucy’s summer toy in the mountains and, in fact, it doesn’t even have a roof, which is just fine with us. What better way to fully enjoy a Ford Bronco? Just don’t get stuck out in the rain.
In typical Hoonigan fashion, it doesn’t take long for the guys to decide a burnout is a good idea, after mastering that, donuts soon followed. However, unknown to the crew, some sort of line was laying against the headers that soon turned into an engine fire. Luckily everyone was quick with the fire extinguishers or this video might have had an unhappy ending.
